With many of R&B/Pop’s elite artists such as The Weeknd and Justin Bieber gaining popularity in their home countries before dominating the music industry in the United States, the next star on the rise comes to us from Lausanne, Switzerland. He goes by the name SONNY and he undoubtedly brings forth a swagger and vocal ability that has managed to win over countless numbers of fans internationally.

Growing up in Switzerland, SONNY found himself idolizing some of music’s greats such as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, as well as Usher, which lead to him building an in home studio to practice his craft. Although his vocal talent is enough for him to standout, SONNY also brings forth a skill-set in dance which also adds to the already long list of talents.

Loyal to his primary language of French, the English speaking artist says he most often uses his native language when trying to smooth over the ladies. Europe may be the continent, but ‘International may best describe the scope of my music’ says SONNY. Like many of his predecessors, SONNY eventually wants to move to America.

After dropping his latest released smash hit single titled ‘Passcode’, today SONNY gives us the green light to release his Ricci Steez featured remix to the track which gives us a pretty good idea of the innovative and ground-breaking sound that we undoubtedly will be hearing more of in the near future. In related news, to go along with the brand new track, he is also currently gearing up to release his brand new album which is set to drop sometime this spring.
