Jason Lee spoke to a source close to Seattle rapper Freddy E who reportedly committed suicide within the last 24 hours. Reports connected the comedian / rapper to YMCMB rapper Tyga, even labeling him as his artist. It was confirmed that not only was Freddy E NOT Tyga’s artist, he doesn’t even know him. The source said that although Tyga didn’t know him personally his heart went out to the deceased rappers family.

Another source close Tyga said that the only indirect connection that could have been made between Freddy E and Tyga is that Freddy was dating Tyga’s artist Honey Cocaine. As reported earlier, Honey Cocaine sounded off on her Twitter account defending herself that she had anything to do with the rappers decision to shoot himself.

Although there has been no official word from Tyga, and most likely won’t be, Honey Cocaine is giving an official interview with Los Angeles radio Power 106 tomorrow so we’re surely hear details of what’s unfolding.

That raises a question though. Isn’t it too soon for folks to be doing interviews if their boyfriend or better half just blew their brains out over you? Kinda weird.
