Quddus who was the host of ABC’s Duets just posted on his Facebook that the show will not be returning for a second season. The music competition show that had a lot of star power just simply didn’t have the ingredients to sustain the competitive market for these type of shows. Read more after the jump.Robin Thicke, Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend, judges for the show are all apparently moving on to other projects given this recent announcement. An insider close to the production shared that “it simply didn’t make [monetary] sense.” Apparently there were limitations on ways to monetize the show through iTunes given publishing restrictions, a lack of product placement, and simply the numbers didn’t add up.
