Not sure how deep the relationship is these days, but we definitely know they’re still real close. The Milkshake rapper Kelis brought the boy, Nasty Nas to the yard on Thursday night in Hollywood where the two were spotted on a date night. Hollywood Bowl played home to love music last Thursday night as the one and only Anita Baker and Esperanza Spalding gave concert goers a night of love music.  Well we were there and guess who we ran into on a date. Jason Lee: OK, so let me set the scene! Hollywood Bowl, evening concert, couples everywhere – and ME! A friend of mine and I were way up in the nosebleed seats and wanted to sneak closer so we waited for Esperanza Spalding to end her set so we could make our move during he intermission. Once she exited the stage we began moving down acting as if we were trying to find our seats. As we got closer to the front we ran into a friend of hers who worked at the venue. He walked us down to an open box and told us we could sit there. We began conversation with people on each side of us and then I noticed an usher coming over. Not Usher who just won custody of his kids, a venue usher.

I told my girl we were about to be caught and as I looked up I noticed Kelis and three women. I apologized to Kelis for taking her seats and then we moved a few rows behind her to watch the show. Oh, Anita Baker was everything, but we’re not talking about that right now. Back to Kelis. I knew I had to meet Kelis so we waited for the show to end and then we moved back down to where she was sitting. This is where the story gets real good!

Once the lights came on I walked over and said to her friend that I’d love to take a picture with her. Check out the photo below.

When she whispered this to Kelis who was up front sitting next to some guy she asked if I wanted a picture with Chante Moore or Kelis [who was sitting right there with Kelis]. I said Kelis and then sparked up random conversation about how good Chante Moore was at the 2012 BET Awards singing the tribute to Whitney Houston [clearly I was nervous because she sang the tribute to Donna Summers].

Kelis exited the area and came over to take the picture with me and she walked down a bit which seemed weird. Until after we took the picture. Kelis began walking out and then when I looked back, Nas pulled his fishermans hat down and tried to walk out quickly. So I yelled out, “hey Nasty Nas” and he just smiled and walked by.

SO wait. Is the Hip Hop power couple who we loved getting back together? Who knows, but it wouldn’t be a bad thing. Forgot to mention, KELIS IS FIERCE!
