We were able to get our hands on the first episode of Eva Marcille’s latest project, ‘Girlfriend Confidential LA‘. The show is centered in Los Angeles and follows Eva and her three friends who are all independent business women in their own right. Read more after the jump and watch a snippet of the first episode.Eva and her friends actress Denyce Lawton, celebrity designer and business woman Nikki Chu, and talent manager and boss Kelly Marie Dunn are all followed as they pursue success and happiness in their individual lives. We are going to breakdown who you’re going to love and hate on this show!

Eva Marcille: We all remember Eva from Tyra Banks’ America’s Top Model, well now we get to dig into her personal life. Eva who can come off sometimes as a bit distant or disinterested when you first meet her in person forces us to like her in this show. In the first episode you’ll see her latest love interest and it isn’t Lance Gross.  In fact, in the first episode she doesn’t even mention that relationship at all. You’ll meet her parents who you will absolutely fall in love with.  Get some kleenex because you’re definitely going to get emotional. Eva travels to NYC to walk in fashion week and yes, she is with our friends the Sachika Twins!

Nikki Chu: Nikki Chu we’ve known for awhile. We know her as a stunning interior designer to the stars but in the first episode you are  able to peek into her life just a little bit more. She shows you how her business swag is taken to the next level as she brokers deals outside the home or office design game. Wait until you see who she’s dating! Wait, what ever happened to that model she was dating from the Beyonce video “to the left, to the left.”

Kelly Marie Dunn: Let us just say Kelly is one of our favorite personalities on the show. Clearly she hangs with the gays because when you hear her talk she is giving you all the lingo! Kelly was Lady Gaga’s former day to day manager so well traveled, well cultured, sometimes comes off a bit above all the coonery moments, Kelly is constantly working! There’s a moment in the first episode with our good friend Richard Jackson, choreographer to Lady Gaga. Remember he used to work under Laurie Ann Gibson and then moved into her spot when Gaga fired her.

Denyce Lawton: [SIGH] We wanted to love Denyce so much but unfortunately we don’t. Denyce is an actress who has been on Tyler Perry’s House Of Payne for four seasons and comes across as if she’s been in several major motion pictures. Well, in the first episode she goes to visit a talent agent to seek representation and is shut down and asked to basically start over! WOW. Denyce also comes across very bitter and angry. [Sidenote] the actress experienced a major loss last year with the loss of her brother. Hopefully the show illustrates why she is so angry because there are women all over the country who are not going to understand how such a beautiful girl is so angry. At least we don’t.

What’s refreshing about this show [so far] is there are NO Evelyn “monkey doodle fool” Lozada moments of jumping across tables and slapping eachother in the face. If they go there this show should be thrown in the trash can. If they don’t, it’s definitely going to be season 2 worthy at the least. Four beautiful business women who are working to make it and having each others back with Los Angeles as the backdrop – why didn’t we think of that!
