Jason Lee hit the ‘BE NEXT‘ event honoring the shining stars in entertainment. A night which was designed to honor the likes of Terrence J of 106 & Park and ‘Think Like A Man‘ fame and Columbia Pictures VP DeVon Franklin turned into a sermon that inspired everyone who could hear the word.  Check out what happened after the jump!

OK! So the event took place at Hollywoods Cafe Entourage on Friday evening. Guests enjoyed an open bar and food in what was a welcoming and warm social atmosphere. Guests included BET’s Big Tigger, Marques Houston, Director Will Packer, Draya of Basketball Wives LA, and Estelle. DeVon who recently married actress Meagan Good got up and gave a speech that was right out of a TD Jakes sermon was moving! The theme of his speech was about everyone’s individual social responsibility and less of the worldly things. Very moving!

Terrence took the stage and spoke from his heart sharing the dedication and unyielding passion to make an impression in auditions for 106 & Park.  7 years later he is leaving the show that made all his dreams come true and is moving to Los Angeles. What made us respect Terrence is his humble way of explaining his journey, and connecting it to the potential that everyone has.  We like Terrence & DeVon even more now!
