Rumor Alert: Did Chris Brown Make Homophobic Comments About Frank Ocean?
Depends on who you ask. According to The Advocate, Chris Brown was caught outside a nightclub in Cannes, France last night where he encountered a paparazzi who began to ask questions. When asked about Frank Ocean and his recent coming out and revealing that he had fell in love with another man, Chris allegedly made the comment, “no homo.” We examine this a little more after the jump.First let’s define the words, No Homo. No Homo: a term used often used by down low surface heterosexual men who are extremely uncomfortable when confronted with the very skeleton that they’re running from.
OK. So the allegation that Chris would use this as a response shows that not only should he not be allowed to give unprepared responses to the media, but even then, he should reconsider. Chris Brown & Frank Ocean are not new to controversy. Remember the night that Frank Ocean released ‘Channel Orange‘ knocking Chris Brown out of the #1 spot? We shared with the video then that had surfaced about a year before where members of Chris’ entourage chased Ocean down challenging him to a fight. Chris who’s latest album ‘Fortune’ has recently been in the press for failing to live up to its expectations of a multi-platinum selling success like his previous album. Maybe that’s the cause for all this drama.
Back to the anti-gay comment made by Brown. This would have been a great moment for Chris to stop and say “Congrats Frank Ocean on having a successful album, for allowing your music to speak for itself, for being the voice for many people who have had your experience.” Well, that would be anti-narcassitic and we know Chris isn’t about to do that.
Do you think Chris is a little jealous that Frank Ocean’s album is doing well or was this just him being a jerk? Either way we hope Ocean stays above the sky where the stars be at! GO FRANK!
SOUND OFF!
