According to TMZ, actress Lindsay Lohan was involved in a car crash this afternoon in Santa Monica on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).  The PCH is a long stretch of road along the coast of Southern California, an amazing sight to see from Santa Monica to Malibu. According to reports, Lindsay smashed a Porsche she was driving into the back of an 18 wheeler. Although the cause of the wreck is unclear, Lindsay left the scene on her own and was check out and released at a local hospital. 

The troubled actress who has had her run ins with the law, battles with addiction, and issues with the paparazzi’s is not new to today’s incident. Lindsay should be happy she walked away by herself and not in a body bag. The actress apparently returned to set today after the incident and is soon to star in a film playing the iconic Elizabeth Taylor. Even though she’s alive, it’s now reported that the car she was driving was in fact a rental! Well, we hope she had insurance.
